No city directory and scant few newspaper items leaves a rather uninformative timeline for Charles Doane. At this time all that can be said about Charles Doane is that he was photographer from 1900 to his death in 1925. He MAY have been photographer a few years earlier but nothing has been found to support this.

Here is some additional material on Charles A Doane at Cabinet Card Gallery

There was also a cabinet card photographer by the name Charles A Doane, working in New Bedford, MA. Examples below.

With no city directories or newspaper files available for that part of New York, a clear description of the photography life of Edmond Daggett is not possible.

It can be said that Daggett was photographer from about 1860 to 1899. He worked with the Ambrotype and Daguerreotype processes early on. Cabinet cards would have come from the later part of his career, perhaps the last 15 years.

And in general, the cabinet card format began around 1865.

(identification stamp barely visible without enhancement)

Very little was found on the life of Thomas B Carver. No advertisements, no newsworthy items, not even an obituary. No city directories followed his activity. His photography career was mentioned only twice, in the 1900 and 1910 US census.

One of T B Carver’s children was William Cecil Carver. According to the death certificate of William Cecil Carver (1888-1964), he was “during most of his life” also a photographer. However all other records found show him as general farmer or poultry farmer. (See certificate below.)
