Based on newspaper items from the time, Snell called his gallery “Elite” between 1894 and 1899.

There are many examples of the photographs of E B Snell available on the net. He photographed the damage from a tornado in Wellington, KS.

He also travelled south to the unsettled area called “the strip” in the area that was “the pan-handle” of the territory that was to become “Oklahoma” the forty-sixth state in 1907. There he photographed many Native Americans, in their traditional and ceremonial clothing. A rich historical document.

He made hundreds of copies of these historical treasures in cabinet card format, to sell as “Views” in the lobby of his studio.
