John Christoph

Photographer: John Christoph
Ellinwood, Kansas
(1880s-1890s)

John Christoph
(1826 – 1925

It appears that John Christoph stayed in the photography business from at least 1889 through 1921. Beginning about 1917 he started to get involved in city politics in his home town of Ellinwood, KS. His advertising tapers off after that. One account says he retired in 1918. In 1923 he was acting as police judge in the city of Great Bend, KS.

Like many other photographers of the time, he seems to have been a bit involved in real estate.
