    1. Thanks for your comment. Yes, it is a sad event to find a family album discarded like that. I have seen too many. My only suggestion is to digitize each and publish them on social media where by chance someone might be recognized. There are also some web sites such as DeadFred that specialize in this sort of treasure.
Watch for any notations on them that might give a clue to names, ages or locations. I would be happy to add them to this photographer's page as more examples of his work but unless there was a name I could add somewhere, they won’t turn up in internet searches. There are many collectors of this sort of memorabilia so you will have no trouble finding someone who will treat the photographs with the respect they deserve. Good luck.

    2. I would like to buy your found collection of J. C. Scott photographs, and the album, if included, for a reasonable fee. My family goes back in New Brunswick, NJ history about 183 years. Just about all of my Great Great Great Grandparents go back in New Brunswick, NJ and from other saved family photographs, I can often spot relatives. Let me know if you have already parted with these photographs. I collect all photos made by the Old Photographers of New Brunswick, NJ, back to daguerreotypes, etc. Thank you. Sincerely, Ray Regan, 824 Oak St., Lakehurst, NJ 08733 or rbregan@gmail.com

  2. I have a couple of very nice identified JC Scott photos in my family album. Would you be interested in posting them on this page? I found the information that you posted on Scott on the page to be extremely helpful and I enjoyed seeing other examples of his work. Peter Hayward, New Hartford, CT
