Monte Christo Davies
(1859 - 1920)

The life of M C Davies was a little harder to follow. His name was often misspelled in many documents. The sparse records found so far show his photographic career seems to span only from 1886 to 1893. He disappears from Little Rock, AR, records in 1893. He probably just moved to another town or perhaps had a rural address, but he left no trail.

About the time M C Davies disappears from Little Rock, AR, another Davies, photographer, shows up in records in Portland, OR. The Oregon Davies is G W Davies and not Monte Christo Davies. No connection has been made.

1859 Jul
Decatur, IL, Monte Christo Davies is born to Lemuel Guy Davies and Mary Cyrena Johannsen (if some family trees are to be believed)
