Norwich, NY, US census Wm Ross (age 22) as photographer, working with William McLeish, b Ohio; This actually could be another Wm Ross. There was a photographer by that name who worked in New Jersey in 1868 and 1869. The age and origin, however, is correct for William T Ross who had just arrived in the US between 1879 and 1881 and eventually worked in Appleton, WI.
