            Edwin Rodney Curtiss (1836 - 1911)
           
            E. R. Curtiss was a lifelong, full time photographer, his studio at
            times employing as many as five assistants. His surviving
            photographs are quite plentiful
            including some stereo views.
         
            His portraits often included dignitaries of New York and
            Wisconsin.

            It is quite likely that the Curtiss studio carried on under his name
            for some time after the death of Edwin R Curtiss. His son Frederick
            William Curtiss was also a photographer and some accounts say there
            were as many as five other employees at the studio.
