H F Beidel was a difficult photographer to trace. There were only two city directories available for the period in the small town of Chambersburg, PA.

Chambersburg (PA) Public Opinion Newspaper, 1931 obituary says H F Beidel began as apprentice with Uncle, A L Bishop on the northeast corner of Memorial Square;
"A L Bishop" is yet to be identified;
It was probably H T Bishop, active at that time
