It appears that Sallie Garrity began her photograph career sometime in 1885 with her sister, May (or Mary, depending on which source you believe) billing themselves as “Misses Garrity”. The partnership only lasted a short time for by December of 1886, Sallie is listed as sole proprietor “Miss Garrity”.
No mention of photography was found after 1891.
The concern here is about finding WHEN a cabinet card with the name "Garrity" might have been made.

Here is an interesting item.
This is NOT a cabinet card. According to the owner it measures 6”x8”. This would put it in the neighborhood of a “Boudoir Card”, another (but less popular) standard size of the time.
The information written on the reverse indicates that the subject is William E Rothery. This would be the man that Miss Garrity married in 1893. (See timeline at 1893.) The photographer imprinted on the card is “Miss Garrity”.
The information also includes a location, “Los Angeles, CA”, and a date, “1895, January First”. Now, we don’t know, for sure, if this is the date the photo was taken or the date that Mr Rothery sent the card to Mr Buchanan. But it does place the card in a time frame.
