I have one by this same company of Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce Tribe, it's a copy printed image, almost like a copy of a high end artistic rendering of him. I assume they sold them.
ReplyDeleteYes. You are right. Copyright laws were not what they are now. Some photographers made copies of photographs of famous people and places, then mounted them on cabinet cards or CDV’s and sold them in racks like baseball cards.
