A detailed review of James G Crawford’s business life is at Historic Photo Archive

The intermittent on-off and on again partnership of Crawford and Paxton is difficult to define. There is a lot of contradiction in accounts of J G Crawford’s photographic history. Crawford’s own account of his business dealings does not agree with city directory listings and newspaper items.

The timeline listed here is an attempt to list all available bits of information whether they contradict each other or not.
