Eau Clair (WI) Leader, obituary, O G Merriman dies at age 54
O G Merriman was a lifelong photographer, from at least 1884 to his death in 1903. Information on him is sparse and sometimes garbled.
The studio was at 307 ½ Barstow from 1884 to 1893. There was a second gallery at 416 Galloway in 1884.
It appears he had a brief partnership with Charles Tebo in 1885 so there may be some cabinet cards with both their names from that time.
In 1895 Merriman apparently moved his studio to his home at 429 Union. He operated there until his death in 1903.

The basic idea here is to find WHEN a photographer was WHERE, which will help date an unidentified CABINET CARD from your family album.
